Core hive.
The Core hive was the epicenter of infection located near upper west side, Manhattan. It was also Elizabeth Greene's residence after her escape from Gentek. [1]
Overview[]
After her escape from Gentek, Greene took refuge in this building and due to the increase of viral biomass, the structure was substantially strengthened. Blackwatch's initial attempts to destroy this hive were futile. Eventually they brought in a Thermobaric tank capable of destroying armored hives.[2]
Alex Mercer used the thermobaric tank to get inside the hive in order to rescue his sister, Dana Mercer who was held captive by Greene.[3]

- After the mission "Children of Blacklight", the hole is all boarded up upon returning to this location.
